Zeph.io runs as a lightweight background app on Windows. When you press your hotkey, it captures audio from your microphone, sends it to a speech-to-text API for transcription, and pastes the resulting text into whatever app is currently focused. The whole process takes just a second or two.
Yes. Audio is sent to the transcription service for processing and is not stored on our servers. Our provider may retain data briefly for abuse monitoring (up to 30 days) but never uses it for model training. Transcribed text stays on your machine.
